I'm trying to install a spare tire mounted Olympic Cargo Rack (904). Sounds simple enough...
I can't get the holes for the pins to line up. The spare tire is preventing the rack from sliding fwd on the extension bar. To the average on-looker it sounds like a simple problem. "Your spare is too big". It's the standard size tire the came with it from the factory. I've even let some but not all the air out and still no dice. I've tried to call Olympic and they were closed until Tuesday! Any ideas short of drilling new holes?
Yes, I've thought of running without a spare but that is just tempting fate too much for me.
