So how much do tires wear when you wheel them regularly compared to driving on the road? I am talking mud, dirt, sand, not too much rock. Will I kill them faster? I have 31" Grabber AT2 on now if that makes any difference. I will be going with something more aggressive 33" when these are done though.

x2. Think about how far you can travel on the highway at highway speed in a few hours time. Now think about how far you will travel crawling through trails, or through mud in a few hours time.

My 90 YJ is welded in the rear. I have had the 33" Dunlops on there for 10 months which I have only put 5,000 miles on it. My tires are 1/2 worn out already and I use it off road a lot, but the highway is what kills your tires. Especially if the rear is locked like mine. I only use mine around town and short trips to and from. The tight turning in parking lots really take a toll on the tires it seems l8ike short wheel based vehicles like our Jeeps suffer the most.
