From a cold start jeep is running hott within 5 min. I flushed the radiator and was pretty brown in color till it was clear using a garden hose. Seems as tho the brown *rust* is coming from the block bc when running again after flush its the same in color. Is the rust in the system why you think it keeps over heating. How can I flush the block out of all the crud. Thanks in advaced

Is the radiator plugged up? Is the thermostat working properly? Rust in the system is not good and can plug up a radiator and coolant passage ways in the engine which would cause your problems. I'd try reverse flushing the system after adding a cooling system cleaner [following the directions]. If that doesn't work consider replacing the radiator or having it tanked by a pro and cleaned up. You might find replacing it, if you can DIY more economical. If you replace the radiator replace the thermostat, and chemically flush the system before you put the new radiator and thermostat in. Disconnecting the heater hoses and flushing the heater core would be a good idea too.

Im in the beleif now that my radiator is flowing as it should. There are no cool spots in it and seems to operate as it should. How would I flush it to concentrate on rust in the block?

Buy any good flush at a parts store, drain all the coolant, fill with distilled water and follow the flush directions. Also do a Google search on reverse flushing a cooling system/radiator and do that as well.
