I am starting to do some back ground on Gladiators.

Does anyone here have one?
I know the cost is high. About 35,000, give or take. It's actually less than what I expected.
How large of tires will go on factory suspension?
Do ANY modifications void the warranty?
How much will one tow? I can find all of this out but I am looking for someone who has one. Would like to tow my TJ back and forth to Florida, behind it.

Its actually cheaper than a Standard big pickup.

There is no way it's $35k, what dealership did you see that?

A Gladiator Sport with no options is $35,040 so you would be unlikely to find one with that sticker price. Since they are apparently selling well, little or no discounts would be offered by most dealers. You can spec one out to your liking on Jeep.com, and then browse the noted discount dealers to see how close you can come.

The towing capacity of a Gladiator is 7,000 to 7.650 pounds with the 8 speed depending on model. It does compare well with the Ram 1500. Here is a link to TFL trucks taking a Gladiator of the Ike (steep grade up to the Eisenhower tunnel in Colorado) which they use to test the towing capacity of pickups. (Rubicon towing with 8 speed is 7,000 pounds).

Here is another TFL trucks comparing the Gladiator Rubicon to the Ram Rebel and Ram Power Wagon.

You would probably have been better to post this question in the JT section.

Check Craig’s list they are old 1962-1988 but if you are craz enough to pay that kind of money you won’t have problems finding a seller

I have one and it's the best Jeep I've ever owned.

Cost is high, but what you're getting is something that's never been sold on U.S. soil, and the resale is higher than any other truck in America, so it's not a bad deal overall if you can afford it.

35s fit...may need very minor trimming on Sport models.

Mods depend on dealership, but I've had good luck so far. They've worked on my JLU with 35s and a lift and never said a word about it.

The Max Towing package is what you want...it'll easily tow a TJ on a flatbed trailer. Make sure you use trailer brakes.

I really like the JT, and after more than a month, I'd do it again. 7650 pound towing capacity is pretty impressive. I don't think you'd be happy with a base Sport model, I'm not even sure they've made a stripped down model yet. My Sport S has a pretty good number of options, and it came out around $45k. They're still pretty new, and pretty popular, so I don't see any reasons for Jeep to discount them too quickly. Once Jeep starts advertising them this fall, I think it's going to really take off.

After two weeks behind the wheel of my Gladiator, I forgot all about my original 2003 Tomb Raider Rubicon. It sits in the garage now.. I love my Gladiator.

After 5 weeks,I finally drove my TJ Rubicon. I like the Gladiator a whole lot more.

Last weekend the Mrs and I drove out to the coast. I couldn't have done this in my TJ Rubicon.
