Hey all,
I recently bought the 2012 JKU in Deep Cherry Red with the black fenders and hard top. I really like the looks of the stock wheels but I want them to be black. I've seen a few threads about painting the stock wheels with bedliner and was wondering if you guys think this is the best way to go. I've looked into getting them powdercoated but its looking like it's gonna be around $100 a wheel to get that done. Just wanted to maybe see some pictures and give a scale of how hard it is to paint the stock aluminum wheels and make sure it doesn't look cheap or shoddy. I'm a relative newby to all of this stuff so keep that in mind. As always thanks in advance for all the help. :wavey:

With my experience with the spray on bedliner it eventually starts to peel. If you don't care about doing touch ups go for it. But you with have to scuff up the wheels with some sand paper and after you sand them rub them with some acetone. Best way to get that stuff to stick! another option I know here locally powder coationg runs 45$ a wheel which is not bad, and it will always last.
