So I decided to repaint my rusty valve cover and when I began cleaning the area to reinstall it I saw a busted up piece of metal sitting down in one of the pushrod holes. I have no clue where this could’ve come from. I looked every where to see if a piece of metal was missing and couldn’t find anything. I also doubt it came from lower in the engine since it seems impossible for it to fully fit down the pushrod holes. Also as I was looking around I noticed a chip in the casting under one of the lifter springs, I was able to get it out using a magnet. I’m going to upload a picture of the piece I found, and of the chip under the spring to of it to see if anyone can give me some insight. Also I have this engine replaced with a jasper reman about 3 years ago.
