if you had an auto locker in the front(AUSSIE, etc.) you would know it when you had it in 4wd. The steering would be a little tougher than normal. And it full turn it could potentially pop a little. Mine does.
What happened was we had some snow here and I used 4wd, then the plows cleared the roads and forgot I had it in 4wd on black top and that when I noticed the pop sound when cutting the wheel on dry pavement.. OOPS!
