Power mods for a 2.4L

What engine mods can I do for my 2.4L. I have a 03 2.4 SE, lifted with 33x12.50 with 4.56 gears and exhaust. Now I'm looking for some power mods like headers, chip, bigger throttle body anything to get my jeep up to speed. I did find a Supercharger but that cost a more than I would like to spend.

Didn't like what the 4.56's did for you?
They are fine but would like a little more. Sometimes I think I should of gotten 4.88 instead. But thats too late.
Yeah, I hear ya. 4.88's would've probably put you where you wanted. Not a whole lot more you can do to the 4 banger to get a ton of power out of it. At that point you might as well put a 4.0 or a V8 in there. :D
yup nothing will really help besides boost or a new engine
boost!!! turbo or supercharger it :D That would be sweet:)
here in germany there is a compressor kit for the 2.4L available.
with this thing the 2.4L power will increase to 255 HP and the torque to 305 ftlbs.

but it´s very expensive. including intallation it costs about 9500 $.

i would insall a 4.0L instead. or better. sell your TJ and buy one with a 4.0L inside.
Well it looks like I will have to save for that avenger supercharger? Anybody here running that system.
The best thing that you could do is a V8 swap... the supercharger is just a "bling factor" in my eyes.
put in a six cylinder man get that out and put in a 4.2 ho

If you did a I6 do a 4.0 not 4.2. Doesn't the 4.0 have more power than a 4.2?:(

The 1991+ 4.0L MPI produces ~180HP
The pre1991 4.2L 2bbl produces ~112HP
alright question on this... I have the 2.4 and am =thinking about doing the 4.0 swap down the road a little ways. its a 05 with a 6 speed... I read somewhere that the 4.0 and 2.4 use the same tranny. Is that right? or am i goign to need to swap the tranny out too when I go to do it...
The v8 is money better spent! Having owned a jeep with all three engines.
