Some 194/168 sockets have 4 tabs and obviously the wranfler has 2. Just cut/trim off two of the tabs. I've done that before on another vehicle.
I'm pretty sure it is still too small to twist in regardless of the number of tabs. Do these things have varying diameters as well? Some 194/168 sockets have 4 tabs and obviously the wranfler has 2. Just cut/trim off two of the tabs. I've done that before on another vehicle.
ah, well it looks like this was hiding in the nooks and crannies :whistling:I recently had the same run in. After looking high n low, the stealership was the only option.
And I just also recently had a run in with someone telling me '97's have different fogs/driving lights than the other two plugs.. weird...ah, well it looks like this was hiding in the nooks and crannies :whistling:
Socket, Driver Side Marker 5288612
I talked to the support guys at Morris 4x4 about it and they did some digging and found this guy. It LOOKS like the exact part I need, comparing to the driver's side. I have no idea why they think it's only for the 1997 models though. The flares on my 2002 are stock and I can't imagine the PO would have had to swap BOTH of them out for '97 stock flares. It looks like it was probably just mislabeled in the supply system.
Anyways I'm going to order it and hope it fits.
How much did you end up paying for it from the stealership?
