There is a substantial different in ball joint prices depending on whether I buy adjustable or non-adjustable ball joints. I understand paying more gives me the ability to adjust camber and caster and I know what those are. My question is given I am not having problems with handling is there a reason I should pay more for the adjustable feature? My Jeep (05 4.0 LJ) is stock and is not lifted.

The off set ball joint is the upper they drill the bore off center in the upper joint so you can set camber. they come by degrees. I would not use these to set caster. That is done with the control arms that adjust

The term adjust able. tends to mean ball joints have a Load ball joint on top. stock the upper ball joint is not a ball joint it is a sleeve. The ball joints that are both load tend to be rather expensive last i looked like $600+. were stock ones are dirt cheap.

stock there are basically two type. None serviceable stock. Then after market one with grease fittings, that use sinter hardened metal. they can last longer but need to be greased regularly.
