Well I did not spend the extra for the upgraded sound system and now im paying for it. So I replaced the speakers and I would like to keep the factory head unit. Is their anyway to add a amp so i can get some power to the new speakers? I thought upgrading the speakers would help but it sounds worse then the factory speakers. From what i read its because they are trying to pull so much power from the under powered head unit. Thanks :)

You should PM a member named xsdbs. Guy knows more about the Chrysler audio / media systems than anybody I've encountered on any forum. Get answers from him and you'll only have to do things once.

You'd really be better off buying a new head unit. They really aren't expensive for something decent.

As for adding an amp to an stock stereo, it can be done by adding preamps to the speaker output wiring, but's I wouldn't advise it.
