Hey all,

I'm looking for a local, reputable shop to install a lift kit for me in a couple of weeks. I live in Cary; drive by Super Trucks Plus on Salisbury/Saunders alot and thought about checking them out but would appreciate any recommendations y'all may have.

I'm not new to Jeeps, have driven Wranglers almost exclusively since '98, this will be my first lift and seeing as the new Rubi X is only about a month old, I'd like a shop to do the install so I can maybe have a warranty or someone who will stand behind their work.

Thanks in advance!

East Coast Gear Supply in Briar Creek did mine, 4wheelparts on Glendale is also good to go. I have no experience with Supertrucks.

Or you could always do it yourself...

I was going to get shocks and tires from 4wheelparts but wasn't aware they did installs; I have to ask when I'm there later today. And I'll check out East Coast Gear as well. Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately doing the install myself isn't an option; I just don't have the tools or the time.

Did you have any issues with your install? Did they warranty the install for you? If you don't mind my asking, about how much did they charge?

FYI for anyone else looking:

4wheelparts can no longer do installations of parts/kits that they don't sell thanks to some new corporate wide decision.

Super Trucks Plus on S. Saunders in Raleigh does and they are an auuthorized RK dealer. Good pricing too.

Good luck my friend. Hopefully somebody can offer their tools and a hand. Always best to learn what's going on under your jeep.
Thanks, brother. RK is running 15 days to ship on new orders but everything else ships by tomorrow.

Wish the shop would let me in the bay to help with the install, or even just watch. Stupid liability insurance nonsense. lol

It's all good though. Hell, I've watched the TF install video so many times, it's feels like I done it myself a bunch of times.

So which lift did you go with and what is the shop charging?
RK 1.5 X-Factor Kit.

It'll give me about 2.5" of lift, has all 8 CAs and both TBs and is adjustable so I can go (slightly) bigger in the future without much to swap out.

Shop quoted $550 to install, which I thought was pretty good considering it's more than just springs and shocks.
