2017 - 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK 4 Door - 2-in. Sport System w/RS9000XL Shocks - RS66119BR9 - Rancho® Performance Suspension & Shocks

I know there has been thread talk about the sport system with the 9000's and just 2 springs (front) and pucks (rear).
Many have said, "Great BUT why not offer it w/an option for rear springs....."

Is this something new? Unless I'm seeing things , this IS a system w/the 9000's and 4 springs netting 2" (I assume level)

Anybody know/have this?

Seems like it's like buying the shocks and getting a Lift for Free......

Thanks Press' (Duh) I didn't remember that thread. I remembered the one where there was only two(2) springs and pucks in the back. Lots of posts about "What can't there be a 4 spring option" I guess it was a timing thing.
People asked and I guess Rancho listened. I'll go read about it.
Two things I Do Not want in a 2" lift....
- Firm ride (harsh)
- Going up 3.25" when I want 2". (Not a punch line)

have this kit sitting in my garage for install this weekend. springs, 9000 shocks and also got geo brackets.

Hmm, I'm getting interested in this kit.... Hey, I get to hi-jack my own thread (I can PM you too) Heading down to my Son's graduation at Ft. Knox (first time back after being stationed there twice) I'll beep on the way by!

I had the old 2 spring kit and couldn't get those springs out quick enough... I thought they were rough and much harsher than stock. Again, Rancho could have tweaked it for the 4 spring kit, but i'm skeptical...

This exact kit, with 4 springs, should arrive at my door tomorrow. I received advice from several sources, and it was the consensus this kit should improve the ride quality significantly from stock. I was really just looking to get rid of my 1 5/8" front rake after installing a winch so the extra inch or so is a bonus without having to mess with sway bar extensions, track bar relocation, brake lines, etc... If I am going to that level it would be a full 4" kit anyway.

It should net 2.25" front and 1" rear of lift.

For $500 to the door, how could I go wrong?

"Skeptical" pertaining to lifts has become my middle name. I tell Manufacturers (whether they listen or not) There are plenty of us out there that will buy a product that:
- Lifts/Levels to about 2"
- Rides/Handles Great
- Is Complete

I thought Mopar was going to be it BUT it goes up way more than 2" it seems.
I thought, well OME .... They lift higher in the rear than the front (What)
Now I see this kit........(?)
I have yet to find the "Kit" that fits this one very simple list of what seems like reasonable goals. You would think there would be at least - One.

I hear ya, for that $$$ and those shocks included.... IF it turns out these new progressive springs are the ticket.... I don't see them being able to keep them in stock but..... we/you'll soon see.

Great Lift

I put the new 4 coil Sport lift about three weeks ago, but I chose the 5000X shocks. I really like it a lot. I replaced the stock suspension parts that had about 50k miles on it. I think the ride has drastically improved. Much better handling on corners, no more brake drop, and handles bumps and other road stuff great. For the price I think it is a great kit. I think I got a little over 2.25" on the front and around 1.5" on the rear but would have to check. I am running stock everything else, so it is a light set up.

Pretty sure it's between this kit and an OME lift. Price difference - quite a bit. Lift amount - close.
Final result - up in the air at this point.

Looking for Level - about 2" - Great ride and handling.

F'n Jeeps - drive me where I want to go with the exception of - nuts.

I have the exact same report but with the 9000 shocks set to 5 and the geo correction brackets. Rides great. The jeep sits levels so if you are one of those that hates the rake, you'll like this kit. If you load your jeep and like a lil rake then I'd add 1" spacers in the rear.

Also. I felt my brake lines (2014) were a lil tight at droop so I freed them up from the factory brackets.

I directly asked Rancho about this.

It gives 2" of lift and rides level on fully loaded 2ds with hard top, aftermarket bumpers and a winch.
Everything else will be higher up.

My spartan Base Sport would have been, quote, " +2.5 inch ", if I bought the Rancho lift.
I believe that lightening the Jeep over 600 lbs compared to their spec lifted JK would raise it a lot more than +.5" .
The spring's progressive rate would have to spiral up very quickly to keep it under .1" more lift per 100 lbs removed.

I've had this lift since March. 2" progressive springs and Rancho 9000 shocks. Really pleased with it so far. I'm running 33's which look nice - could go to a 285/75-17 and they'd fit too. Prob need flat fenders with a 35. I never measured the jeep but to the eye it looks level. No rake or very minimal. Took it straight to Moab and got busy with it and it performed well. I'd say it's a great lift to clear bigger tires without major modifications needed for a 2-1/2 lift, like geo correction, control arms, exhaust mods, etc. Simple and functional.

You might be on to something there. It took me a month to get my kit as it was backordered. The Rancho representative said they were building and shipping in the range of 40 of these kits a last week alone.

I paired the lift with 315/70/17 KO2s a couple of weeks ago. I think they go great with it so far. I chose them since they run on the smaller side. They definitely fill the wheel well up pretty good though. No issues street driving, but I'm not sure off road since I haven't had the chance yet. I may go flat fenders eventually.

Even at 2" of lift, some Jeeps are going to need caster correction. It's my opinion that on lower lift heights like this, going with a control arm is a better solution than brackets. The minimum correction in geometry brackets is more than needed for this height. Plus they really hit your ground clearance hard.

As I read through the posts (thank you) Seems Positive....

Not a huge price difference from the Rancho to the OME, not enough to have it be a deciding factor.
Things I like and don't like....
- The Rancho is adjustable and seems as though it's for real, not a gimmic
-Lifetime warranty. I think OME is 3 years
- Can not get a straight answer out of OME on actual lift height or whether it levels the Jeep (the advertised specs actually claim MORE rake than OE)
- The Rancho kit is new so not a lot of review history but input here has been helpful.
- Prior OME lifts I have done were nice riding lifts but they all shot up way higher than I expected.

As far as caster correction, I was leaning towards the AEV brackets because they basically are the grandfather of that approach, it has the different holes based on height, they correct caster and flatten the CA's back to OE parallel.
I'm not a rock crawler so ground clearance isn't an issue for me BUT I respect Pressurized's comprehensive "correct" approach to all that he delves into so I defer to him on that subject.

I say if you want exactly 2" and want your jeep level and to ride exactly like stock on a bit better get an AEV 2" lift and add rancho 5000X shocks you will be in to it for very low cost and it will give you exactly 2" over what you are presently running. I have installed no less than 8 of these lifts and not a single person has been dissatisfied....well I slightly because 2" is never enough when it comes to lifting jeeps always want more LOL.
