Ust installed my RS9000 shocks and a quick ? On the rear adjuster knob? Should I have it placed facing rear as in the pic? Or turn it forward which makes it harder to adjust, but not sticking out there waiting for a rock to break it. What's the general consensus?

Another option is raising the shock mount(s)
Something like Evo Rock stars raise the lower mount 1.5 for clearance. You do have to watch over compressing the shock and bump stop height. I've seen some run a shorter shock or raise the upper mount as well (Synergy)
The cheapest option is just rotating the shock 180 as mentioned.
