Help! I have a 2008 jk with a 6 speed manual. Whether im in neutral or any gear I get a terrible rattle noise at about 2,000 to 3,000 rpm, but past 3,000 it seems to go away. Im not super knowledgeable on cars just yet so any advice helps.

Welcome to the Forum! Does the rattle occur whether you are sitting or driving? If so you can pop the hood and have a friend rev to 2000 rpms to see if you can find. Also, does rattle with the clutch engaged (off pedal) disengaged (on the pedal) or both?

Could be anything, really, but I'd start with looking at the heat shield above the muffler. I know when mine came loose, it rattled like crazy at certain rpms and quieted down at others.
