ummm, I don`t know if it would work but I do know anytime you install a turbo charger an old motor you may be asking for trouble.
Older motors are normally fairly loose and turbo chargers tend to break them due to the higher and faster "rapping" the turbo charger produces.

yeah actually if u don't build a turbo motor for a turbo ur going to blow it to kingdom come unless u put only min amount of boost but then its not worth the hassle and like its been said if u were absolutely dead set on faster go with a v8 and if that wont give u what u want super charge it but other wise i wouldn't do the swap
