My driver's side rear axle seal seems to be leaking. I am looking for recommendations on a seal kit.

Please let me know a good kit to get.

This is for a 2006 Unlimited LJ Rubicon. Stock axle housings.

Thank you,
Beowulf

The Timken components look great. Is there anything else that needs replaced? What about the retaining plate? Can the old one be used?

I used the same retainer plate on mine, as long as its not too rusted you should be fine. Just make sure you keep the orientation of the plate and bearings the same as before you replaced them and you should be fine. Also, i needed to put a small amount of rtv around the rubber seal before i installed mine... first time i did it without the rtv and it leaked about 5000 miles later. good luck

Everything is ordered up. I will use the original plate.

I've done one of these before, it has just been a very long time.

If you have done one before, you're aware that the new bearing and bearing retainer have to be pressed on, right?

The old bearing and retainer can be cut off, but care needs to be taken not to nick or gouge the axle shaft.

Great pictures.

Yes, I at least remembered the cut a press part. Luckily I have a harbor freight press that worked last time for pressing these on.
