I was reading an Advertisment for a rear diff cover and it indicated that it had a fill port that was higher in the cover. The point being that when you rotate the front of the diff up to accomodate the slip yoke eliminator you could starve the pinion bearing of oil. I would think that the ring gear would have oil flying everywhere. What do you folks think? Thanks in advance for your replies.

The ring gear is what picks up the gear lube and distributes it throughout the housing. Having the gear lube fill hole higher is good after installing a CV driveshaft that rotates the axle housing because the OE fill hole on the factory cover would be too low to fill it high enough. If you plan to install an aftermarket cover with a higher fill hole without the axle having been rotated for a CV driveshaft, I would just not fill it quite all the way to the new higher fill hole level.

Thanks for the response Jerry. I need to update my sig line...I have a JB Conv SYE, Tom Woods CV drive shaft and rokmen adj upper control arms. I didn't replace the diff cover because I thought the ring gear would be throwing plenty of oil and hadn't considered oil starvation for the pinion. Sounds like I better change it before I drive it much more. I too am a pp asel with AP privileges. Thanks again for the info!
