Got a price quote for a rear driveshaft (OEM) from a buddy at a dealer today, right around $200. That sound about right? Chrysler PN is 52098219. The price is right in line with aftermarket replacements I've found in places like quadratec.
I have cracks around the rear U joint caps so thought I'd better replace it, and don't do anything extreme enough to warrant an SYE conversion or anything like that. It's a 92, 4.0/5 speed, with only a 2" shackle lift to clear 31x10.50 tires. Nothing big, just enough to get me around in the snow when I need it (like the other night, driving home in 1.5" of freezing rain and sleet - what fun THAT was...).
