I was under my jeep last night looking at another item and I noticed some oil on the transmission right behind the oil pan. It looked like fresh oil, but looked like a little accumulation in some spots.

Now my question is could this be a slow rear main seal leak or could this be from an oil change? Currently I am getting free synthetic oil changes from my dealership.

It's a 2008 JKU with 85k miles on it. I've seen a very small oil patch in my garage, but it doesn't look to be new.

Anything else I could check?

I'm thinking your best bet might be to clean it well, then drive it around the block and see what happens. Brake cleaner spray is handy as a cleaner, since it dries quickly (get the non flammable kind if you can). That and a rag should do it. :)
