Hi everyone. I've recently been switching out the green LEDs in my car to red ones and so far I've been able to find adequate help online on how to disassemble the front dash/window switches. I really cant find anything for the rear power window switches though. All I really need to know is how to remove the buttons from the center console. After that, I'm sure I can figure out how to desolder the old LEDs and solder on new ones.

Any and all help/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The service manual is your friend in cases like this!

All you need to do is use a trim tool to gentle pry the rear panel where the switches are and it should come off. The #1 is the panel that comes off.

  • Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  • Using trim stick ( C-4755 ), gently pry the console back panel away from the console.
  • Remove the center console assemble's rear panel (1).
  • Disconnect electrical connectors.
  • Release the integrated latches and remove switch assembly.
