Does anyone know how I can relocate my rear view? I'd like to mount it on the windshield frame. Problem is I don't think I'll be able to weld it. Anyone one have any ideas and pictures of there project

older cj's rear view mirror did screw to the frame..buy one of them and shoot some sheet metal screws in it

Just flip it upside down. Free and easy way of gaining some vision out of the windshield.

I did mine to the windshield frame...cleaned the are of frame...pulled that little metal thingy out the the mirror...put a spot of JBWeld on it...stuck it up there..made sure there was no JB oozing out and let dry..give 3-4 hours b4 you put on the mirror..FYI i sanded then cleaned the spot...JBWeld likes it better lol

don't have a pic but I made a mount for mine, its just triangular shaped that bolts to the windshield frame under the footmans loop. then I just bolted the mirror to that.

I thought about doing the same thing but was concerned it would interfere with the top. Did you run into any problem like that? Also noticed your visors are missing. Were they in the way too?

I actually did the same thing as defcon 1. It worked great I left my visors on and I put the mirror on with the hard top on.
