When I bought my TJ I noticed the rear window wiper did not work. No big deal. Today I drove to work in a heavy downpour and wished I had the rear wiper functioning. Any ideas to get it working? I have a hard top on it.

1. Does it have the wiring harness going to the rear for the wiper motor?

2. Is it hooked up if its there?

3. Have you checked the fuse if the first two answers are yes?

If it still shoots water but the actual wiper doesn't work, could be your motor is out. Mine was hooked up but the motor went out, so I unplugged the harness.

From what I can see the harness is plugged in, but I have not checked the fuse.

And no, it does not squirt water.
