Hey everybody!

I am starting to build my recovery gear kit and am looking for recommendations on snatch blocks, tree savers, D-shackles and other recovery components that you all have experience using and trust, I want to build a solid kit I can count on.

Thanks for the help!

My recovery box has:
(2) 20' 2''wide 20,000 lb recovery straps.
(1) 6' tree strap
(2) 3/4 D-ring shackles
(1) 1/2 D-ring shackle
10' of tow chain
pr work gloves
flashlight
folding shovel
hammer
a packing blanket (to use a dampener for winch cable)
*would like like to add a snatch rope later (about $80)
These all fit in the large $15 toolbox from Walmart, except for the packing blanket.

This has worked well for me and I've pulled out Jeeps and Pick up trucks.
I have not felt the need for a snatch block.

I would highly recommend a snatch block. It's not just good for doubling your pulling power but also for when you need to winch at an angle.

ARB has a kit. It's a bit spendy but it saves you money over buying everything separately.

ARB RK9US Premium Recovery Kit : Amazon.com : Automotive

The ARB kit seems nice but man that is a bit steep for what it is. What kind of snatch block do you use? I have been looking at stuff on amazon but I don't always trust reviews on there, I am looking for components that are high quality and gonna last

I don't have one yet. I actually ordered that ARB kit myself which will be here tomorrow.
