So I decided to move the battery into the back of the tub; one of my wheeling buddies hooked me up with all the wiring/breaks/distro blocks since he works in an audio shop so that was nice. It was an easy mod. I decided to finish it off with some PVC flex conduit (couldn't run the big fat 0 gauge under the Jeep since it would run next to the exhaust). I think it looks good - but I'll probably paint it black so it doesnt stick out too much. The battery box itself has a 200A circuit breaker inside in case of a short in the cable (dont want any firey mishaps in there), and the junction box also fuses the starter and distro box - so it's off slightly better stock as far as safety goes.
I still need to get some looming aorund the wiring - but I didn't have the right size at home. It should blend in nicely with the conduit and look fairly "factory" - so ignore all the bare wires right now.
So why exactly did I do all this?
Well after I complete the engine/drivetrain swap this year; I'm going to get this front end fabbed up:
But that's another project for another time! And yes those are 40" tires with still just 4" of lift
