My biggest frustration with my '16 JK is the soft cover. Putting the cover back up is such a pain, takes me 20-min, and requires so much effort! And when the cover is folded back, my dog can't jump into the back anymore. Since I bought the Wrangler four years ago, I have only done it a few times and decided to not do it anymore -- which defies the entire purpose of buying a soft-top Wrangler in the first place.

Would it be better to simply uninstall the entire cover and throw a cab cover over the Jeep during the Spring/Summer/Fall moths?

Most of the summer, keep the soft top up and remove the rear and sail panels.
I then throw a rain cover on overnight.

You are correct about it being difficult for a dog with the top down.

We have a Trektop NX in the summer, and leave the windows in the basement and the top in safari mode 90% of the time and use a Raingear trailcover at night.
