I'm taking off my old muffler because it's rusted pretty bad and I got a flowmaster 40 series to take its place. I was able to cut through the pipe exiting the muffler just fine but the skid plate in the front is preventing me from being able to cut through the back pipe. The muffler is lose. Im able to move it side to side with no problem but it doesn't want to slide off. I tried to remove the skid plate but those bolts will not budge. I don't have a torch at this point and I'd like to get this done as soon as possible. Any suggestions?

If you can get your hands on a sawzall with an 8" blade that will do the trick. Just cut the pipe as close to the muffler as possible. Have done a few Wrangler mufflers and there was always just enough room up front.
