Got a small rip (1/2" long) in the soft top, is there anyway to fix it ?

Can an upholstery shop sew it back up or put a patch on it maybe ?

Any one have any thing that has worked for them to fix a similar problem ?

Thanks

Yes, it can be patched. There are kits for sale. Or take it to an auto upholstery shop and they can fix it, they do it all the time.

is it in the middle of the fabric or at a seam? Either way, get a patch and sew it yourself. easy to do. I restitched my entire soft top after all the seams popped due to uv rot.

Thanks for the suggestions

My niece drove her jeep into the garage door as it was still opening and ripped the top right on the header strip above the windshield, I'm not sure if I can get to the back side of the fabric or not I'll have to take a closer look this weekend

I put a piece of black duct tape over the outside for now to keep it from leaking in the rain or from tearing more in the wind

Thanks again

Cheaper to replace it

OEM Premium Twill on eBay for less than $250
Search part number 5MT39FX9AA (2 door premium twill top, part no will be different for 4 door or vinyl)

Took me about 2 hours to install.

Hope this helps
