Hey guys I need springs wicked bad in my wrangler they got 200 k on them and r smoked so I was looking to At just buying 2.5 rough country lift cuz it comes complete with hardware springs and shocks for less then buying new stock setup I do very little off roading mostly on road cruising back roads with jo doors and too with family looking for some reviews and feed back on thus kid in only use this the jeep on sat and sun also its jot my daily

Have the rc 2.5 lift in my 94 for the past two years. When you install expect at least a 3.5" height increase due to your sagging springs. They said I wouldn't need to drop the transfer case but I did. Ride was rough at first but eventually softens up ( it's no Cadillac of course). Get the better nitro shocks they offer and you'll need to get bigger tires if your running stock.

4.5IN X Series kit on mine as well, have had it for about 6 months. loving it so far

Thanks guys I'm running 30s noe was planning on keeping them for a little while cuz I'm on s wicked tight budget lol

Im on 33x12.50x15s so that should give you an idea the amount of clearance your going to get with the 4.5in lift. 30s are going to look awfully funny if you lift that much haha, but thats just my opinion.

I have the same lift as Tom and Blake, no real complaints about the lift itself. The instructions that came with mine were crappy, and the hardware wasn't really complete. You will possibly need to go to the hardware store to get bolts for your springs. The 4.5 kit doesn't come with bolts for the frame side, and since I live in Michigan, mine didn't come out nicely, I had to cut them out. I'm assuming the 2.5 kit has a similar hardware selection supplied.

Even a 2.5" lift is a huge improvement over the stock ride height. Instead of feeling like a car, it will feel more like a Jeep. ;)

i agree with that one. the directions were less helpful than one would expect but it got the job done, i too needed some frame bolts got some grade 8s from the hardware store with some locking nuts, not too big a hassle.

Grade 8 9/16 x 5 is the bolt size for the frame end. Iirc

i had an impact on mine. i got the nuts off easy, the problem is the bushing fused with the bolt and couldnt be freed up. i tried PB as well as plenty of heat. i even totally melted out the rubber bushing, the bolt and inner bushing just sat in there and spun. had to break out the cut off wheel to get them out

I have the 2.5" lift on mine - working great and easy to install. Fits 31" tires nicely. Your 30's will be fine, but you always need bigger tires!
Watch your brake lines, they may or may not need to be extended or simply re-routed to compensate. I needed a TC drop, some folks don't.

I am planning on putting a 2.5"lift on mine as well, do you guys think I'll need a longer DS with the lift?

No, you should be fine. Your DS is ok - as is the steering. A drop pitman may help but is not necessary

an impact with 1000ftlbs in reverse didn't budge mine. I had to use a sawzall
Your poor fasteners...

Air hammer and impact are completely different. The impact wouldn't budge mine either, rusted together.

You put the needle tip on and use it to push the bolts out easy ... They will walk right out.

Free tip from me for anyone that wants to reuse the nice oem bolts.

I have the 2.5'' Rough Country lift... it did take it up almost 3 1/2'' because of the old saggy springs being so far gone. I did it all in an afternoon.
I had to lower my transfer case 1'' and that smoothed out the ride. My lift came with shocks and I had them on until last week when I bought and installed the Bilstein 5100's... What a difference! I was skeptic at first, thinking the R/C lift was too stiff and it wouldn't matter what kind of shocks I had on my jeep... I was wrong... the Bilsteins are well worth the money for on road performance and a noticeable difference off road.
The R/C lift was a good purchase in my opinion but the shocks are questionable...now what I know what a good shock feels like.

Everyone's review is pretty spot on with what I have encountered with my lift. I was skeptical because like you said it's a little less expensive than other lifts but for the money it is well worth it. My rear springs were shot when I replaced them and like most people said if lifted my jeep about 3.5 inches. I'm running 31s on mine and it looks nice. I didn't need to put new brake lines on or adjust anything. It was a little stiff at first but broke in nicely. Been riding with them for about 3-4 months now. Feels much better. If it's what you're looking for I would totally buy it.
