Nice cheap lift mine started to sag about an inch or so then with a winch i lost another3/4" so i ended up chaning almost everrytging out. Get waht you pay for. Go rubicon express and do iy right even if it costs more

Just installed on my jeep. I'm happy with it. I didn't want to go with spacers and i figured my shocks would be a fight to get off so i went with it. I'm going to do a 1" body lift later.

I don't have the Rough Country lift but comments over the years have most commonly been that the "Rough" of Rough Country means exactly that... that it rides pretty darned rough from its overly stiff shock absorbers.

Unless you want a very stiff ride, I'd look at something that rides better like from Rubicon Express with their Monotube shocks, an OME lift, or Skyjacker with their Hydro shocks. There are other good riding suspension lifts of course too but those three would give you a good start. :)

I am now driving my first lifted TJ, so I am not very knowledgable on comparing my RC lift to others on the market. Obviously, Jerry is the man to listen to. :D However, I am pleased with my 4" lift. Don't know about longevity yet, as it has only been on for 7 months.

That being said, I agree with JB that it is ROUGH. My girl will beat you to death on and off road. But I like the rough ride. Otherwise, I would have bought a Cadillac!

No problems with mine thus far, but I have been told by a fellow jeeper that changing out the shocks would help with the ride. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for and what your budget is.

I have to say that my ride is now as good as my stock was if not better. I too have read alot of negative stuff on rough country but i have read alot of good reviews on this particular lift. I got it mostly because i'm ocd and it would drive me nuts to look in there and see a spacer. LOL. In the end it worked well for me because i had to cut my old shocks off anyway.

I am looking at the 2.5 lift for my 03 TJ. I talked to the guys at RC the other day as I only live 15 miles from them. They claim there new progressive rate springs and 2.2 shocks will ride way better than stock. I was wondering if any of you were running this setup and if it really does ride better.

I have the 4 inch RC lift. Only been on since September but was running it till last week with stock tires. It is not as smooth as it was before the lift and since only the lift was changed, I know it was not due to the tires. But, it's not that bad. My wife noticed it more than I did.

I'm glad I read this, I was just about to drop the hammer on a new lift. I have a RC budget boost right now but, I need new shocks so I thought get the full spring lift. I think I'll just wait till spring and save some up some cash and get a different lift. I've used OME coils on a range rover classic and they were very nice.
