I just bought a 97' with 77K on it. I've got some bugs I am trying to work out. When I crank it right off the bat it just turns over and will not crank. However, if I turn the switch to on and wait for a second then crank it she starts up after a few turns.

I think its the fuel pressure regulator. It threw a code a little while back that made me think it was a crank shaft sensor but I erased the code and it has not been back since. That was about 200 miles ago that I erased the code.

Is there anything else it could be other than the FPR?

Thanks for the help guys

Replacing the FPR is the usual fix for that if the symptoms are that it starts ok if it has been running recently, but that it takes a long time to start if it has been sitting like over night.

How hard is that fix never had to do one of those. Had to replace a valve one time in my 300zx because it was pushing gas out the mouth of the tank. That was a scary fix, has anyone done the fpr? How bad is it?

Thanks
