I've already installed Rugged Rige lower control arm skids and love them. BUT today I installed the upper control arm skid front passenger side. Used both RR spacers and washers but I can still wiggle the skid up and down. Does that sound normal to you all? I thought it should be tight.

I went to the RR website and found no mention of upper control arm skids.

Considering the tie rod, drag link, etc. are lower than the upper control arms, if you need skids for the uppers, you are in some deep shit.

May have misstated. I always get these mixed up. This is the skid for the control arm attached at the front axel.

I also need to protect the rear bracket for that control arm ( since its getting crushed on rocks) but they don't make one for that.

You mean a skid for the back bracket for the front lower control arm? I have seen them on this forum I think, but I do think it was something someone made themselves. I had a friend mention this to me the other day too, I think he said he had seen them.

I see what you mean Sue.

I guess you could refer to those as front LCA frame-mount skid plates? As opposed to axle-mount LCA skids?
Well I sure know a few rock crawling buddies that would love to buy them. We've been crushing the hell out of those brackets on the rocks at Rausch Creek. I have a guy that will make me a set of skids for them but wants $400 for two!!!!!

So on the axel mount LCA skids from RR I can wiggle the skid up and down. Doesn't seem to be loosening the bolt but not sure if I should be concerned.

I have the same issue. Anyone know of a skid for the rear bracket of the front lower control arm. Mine are also getting beat up pretty bad.
