I am about to buy either a Rubicon Express 3.5" Superflex Kit (#RE7003) or a Full Traction 4" Flex Arm Suspension (#FTS7505). They are both around the same price. I just cant decide which one to purchase. Thats were I need your opinions on the 2 lifts. Thanx.

Agree completely I wheel with a guy who runs the FT 4", very nice kit.

I can't really speak to the Full Traction lift other than that I have a friend that has the 4" FT lift and he seems happy with it. I've never driven his Jeep but I have riden in it off road and it seems fine. He says that mine rides better on the road, but I can't say it's the lift. We have different wheel bases, tires, and shocks.

I have the RE 3.5" superflex lift. It was easy to install, has great articulation, and rides great on and off road. I've been very happy with RE's customer service so far.

I have run RE on a few of my Jeeps. Good kits, work well off-road. Have yet to see an FT kit on the trail so I can't comment on that one, but I have heard decent stuff on it.

You will be happy with either kit. I am running a Full Traction Long-Arm, and am very happy with it, rides nice, good quality materials, etc... I also wheel with a couple guys with the RE long-arm kits, they are happy with them as well...

Pick you poison both are good products. im running a re 3.5 super flex. it came out taller then 3.5" rides great and has great articulation for maintaining stock location control arms.

While we're on the subject, does anyone have any experience with the 4" FT kit or the 4" Ultimate FT kit? Been looking at both of these kits, a little undecided.

The ultimate 4" kit has a 3 link rear which will eliminate your trac bar. The trac bar mount is notoriously weak on TJ's in the rear and often tears under stress when asked to deal with lifts and offroad situations. That being said, Full Traction uses quality materials, and you will be as happy with either of these kits as comparable lift kits.

I don't do what I would consider to be any hardcore 4wheeling, but l do go to some pretty remote places here in Az. Having failures in BFE at O dark thirty is no fun at all.
How does that 3 link system behave on road? I'll just be running that lift (no BL or MM) and 33" BFG A/Ts. It's a Rubi LJ and will be seeing considerable highway time too.

For some reason I heard today that the RE tri-link won't work on the LJ's because they moved the gas tank up too far in them.

However a 3 link will behave just fine on the road. The axle is held in place by a triangle so you won't notice any differene than when it was held from side to side by the trac-bar.

That kit is probably more than I need, but it does look interesting. The 4" Flex kit would probably suit my needs just fine. The RE 3.5" would too, but I've heard/read lots of stories about the bushings wearing out on the RE control arms. That, and the FT kits seem to be more complete.
