finger nail did this....

Don't pick at it almost any paint can come off if you pick at it and just use regular flat black spray paint for fenders, no need for expensive stuff, also did you do multiple coats or just one thick coat

I have used a lot of the rustoleum rattle can bed liner. The bad news is that it doesn't hold up as well as I'd hoped. However, the areas where it has come off has seen some rough trail use (bumpers, sliders, belly/engine skid). I don't think any paint would hold up to the conditions these parts see.

The good news is that it's cheap enough to repaint as needed. It's also easier to get a consistent coat than a flat or gloss paint. If you truly use your sliders and other armor, then it's a nice inexpensive way to keep them protected from the elements.

I almost got my junk powder coated and I am now happy I didn't do that!

Did you lay down an appropriate primer (per instructions)? I have used this with very good results, including coverage and durability. I used 2 coats primer followed by two coats Rust-Oleum textured bed liner.

I used the paint on liner on my flares and door handles and have had no issues. Painted on 3 thick coats with a little foam brush and it's tough as can be.

FWIW, I hit my faded fenders with a propane torch and they darkened nicely.
I used the rattle can bedliner in my footwells and it's holding up well.
