There's quite a few jeep guys n gals in the Salina area, didn't know if anyone is on here or not. It'd be nice to get a group together to meet n greet n what not sometime other than just at the jamboree! I've had jeeps in the jamboree the last 3 years but I've only been to one due to deployment and work and what not.

I just left Salina. Lived there for 4 years. In Manhattan now.
There are a handful of real Jeeps in Salina, and a bunch of pretty Jeeps that have never even seen a dirt road, let alone an actual offroad trail. Those Jeep owners typically stand out fairly well, so don't waste your time with them.

There isn't any public land by Salina to wheel, you'll have to make due with gravel roads. It sucks. But if you want to head over my way towards the Tuttle Creek ORV Park, there is some good wheeling for every type of Jeeper...mild to wild.

I remember both of those beauty's on campus. Made me miss mine everytime I was sliding around the parkings lots in the Trans am during winter. Hopefully I'll be getting another Jeep here in a few weeks!

I'm in McPherson. I have stock tires and suspension on my JKU Moab right now, but will be heading to TC some this summer to see what performance upgrades I want to make for my DD/weekend warrior.

Also a ton of rigs in a town this size.

Maybe we can get a handful of area Jeepers to meet at TC for some wheeling? Let me know when you might be coming up to Tuttle and I'll try to meet you there.

Will do. Was going to go yesterday but life got in the way.
I hear ya. With the pounding we took today, it'll be a while before it's dry enough to wheel out there anyway. I haven't heard how much rain we got this morning, but it had to be a couple inches.

I'd have killed to have your TJ cavediver, that thing was amazing, and having to see it out there every morning before class didn't help my jealousy lol.

Thanks man! I miss it, but I love my (much) rougher YJ and I'm digging my new JKR. I did every single mod to that TJ by myself. I had a lot of sweat equity in that thing! Hahaha. I'll probably go BIG with the YJ and save the Rubi for the lighter trails. Over the last couple of years, I've been collecting parts for a YJ-to-CJ front end conversion to nix those silly square headlights as well as parts for a smallblock Ford V8 conversion. Still have a ways to go, but it's cool. It's a process. I'll see what I've got going on that day and try to meet you all up there.
