Well i finally went and got the wife and I a Sams Club acct.....the BIGGEST reason for the membership, is the addition to a new baby coming in April..lol...This will give us big savings on diapers :D and other things i'm sure

We walked around last nite, and my eye caught the large racks of automotive tires...I didn't look in depth at what they carry. But i'm curious if anyone has shopped tires at Sams Club, and if the price is worth it or competitive as opposed to going to a Discount Tire, or online shopping...

And how the selection is.

Their selection is mostly for "normal" OTR tires, but I know the one here near me will special order you in whatever you need. I have never done it, and to be honest....some of the technicians arent the brightest.

The prices are reasonable, although they don't really carry MTs if I remember right. I think the BFG AT or GY silent armor is about the best they have. never looked for passenger tires there, and never bought tires there. Although I do frequent the store for other bulk purchases... I have a BJs membership as well, they are almost next to each other, so if one doesn't have what I'm looking for I go to the other one.

Their prices are usually pretty competitive with ours but their selection isn't quite as good. If by chance you do find a lower price their please let your local store know. Our In-store purchases come with free rotations, free flat repair and free pro-rated road hazard warranties. Most of our competitors try to charge you for their pro-rated warranties. We want to earn your business and we will work hard for you to make sure you are getting the very best price.
