Your seat is a major part of you safety equipment. Don't skimp and use materials that might not hold up in an accident. If you seat doesn't stay put, your seat belts are useless. Go with solid steel or aluminum stock and drill the holes needed and use high grade bolts to secure them. I just went ahead and bought the premade kit since I didn't have the tools needed to do all that.

I made them tonight out off heavy wall 1 inch pipe then cut steel and weld both ends shut and drilled the holes look great can't wait put them in tomorrow

Well I got them put in wow I love them I can see lol im short 5,5 why did I wait so long its alot like sitting in my old cj
