So I was cleaning the jeep and went to wipe down the shifter boot, when I realized it was broken. It appears that the plastic frame that is under the boot is snapped. What do I need to do? Has anyone fixed theirs? I might try gluing it back together but it may not hold.

Glue won't work. You need a new ring or shove it down like mine!

I have been thinking about using a JK shifter boot to seal the air out down on the floorboard but gorilla tape has worked so far...

Mine broke and I glued it with JB Weld and splinted it with a piece of aluminum to hold it until the part I ordered came in. That was 3 or 4 months ago and the glue is still holding.

Its sitting kinda low even for falling down, are you missing the interior boot? When my bezel finally broke I just bought a new one from Quadratec for 9 bucks or so, and I picked up the internal boot because mine was old and warn and I was in there anyway.

If you mean mine, the interior boot is just a flat rubber that the shifter rod sticks out of and between my BL and TC drop it was all jacked up, couldn't shift real good with the boot where it was so just shoved it down as far as it could go. I tried to fix it and broke the ring on it. Now that my belly is tucked everything is where it belongs and better than ever. I ordered the ring from Morris as linked above and I am going to see about resealing the inner boot when I'm in there.

Thanks guys, I'll probably just order one. I was worried it would be $50 or so since that seems to be how my life works.
