whoever had my jeep before me put my rear shocks on upside down, which is giving a very stiff ride. Are shock extenders worth buying or is it a better use of money to buy inverted shocks?

Different shocks can be run either shaft down or shaft up. Most run shaft down but all yj front replacements are shaft up.

This has nothing to do with a stiff ride.

What lift do you have? What tire size? What psi do you run in your tires? What are your shackle and spring bolts torqued to? Do you have your trac bars connected?
