I've pretty much decided on the MetalCloak 2.5 True Dual-Rate lift kit, but still undecided on the shocks. My current choice's are the Rocksports, Falcons, or 9000s, I don't think i could go wrong with any of these, but i'm leaning towards the 9000s, I'm open to any thoughts, comments or suggestions.

I use the Jeep as a Daily Driver/Weekend Warrior, run the trails with some local clubs, nothing to crazy, but I do like to bring her home in one piece, challenges are always fun.

2017 JKU, Rockhard skids, Rockhard rails, stock bumpers, 17" stock wheels w/Destination MT2's, winch & aftermarket bumpers coming soon.

Thank you

The kit was designed for the Rocksports.

Thats the route I'm taking. FWIW.
+1. MC designed the Rocksports to match their springs' rates and lengths. They're also dirt cheap so it was a no brainer for me.

I can't imagine going with a higher end lift like that and then going with low cost shocks like the 9000's. They are adjustable, and that is nice. But if you really want adjustable shocks and are going with a high end lift like that I would go with the Falcons.
But, as mentioned, the RockSport shocks are matched to that lift. Both the RockSports and the Falcons should maintain full travel with that lift. I have not done the math but you may get less travel if you go with the 9000's.
I have run the OME shocks, which are pretty much the RockSports in yellow. They are built better than the Rancho 5000's I currently have on our JKU.

A friend put that lift on his '16 JKUHR with the Rocksports and it rides great. Sadly, better than mine. I like the Falcon's but for the money I would have to go with the Rocksports. He also installed the MC new bumpstops and I have them for mine. If I was going to re-do my lift I would go with the MC 3 1/2 inch lift with the Rocksporst.

Same lift I installed on my '07 JKUX in January. I went with Falcon 2.1 Sport. Most comments on here I have seen rate them too firm/harsh for the street. For many they could be, however I prefer a firmer, more positive ride, and these fit my needs very well.

There are 2 lifted half-ton 4wd trucks in the fam, both with Bilsteins, and both ride firmer than stock. Compared to my Jeep they feel like wallowing tuna boats.

Trail performance is excellent on everything from fast washboarded fire roads to slow crawls.

Silver shocks if you're compensating or just want to impress the girl down the street. White shocks if you're short on money. Rocksports if you want performance and a better than factory ride.

I've got the silver ones but still don't have the girl. How about the Rocksports, silver spray can and some King stickers.

King stickers would probably do it!

Seriously, the Rocksports are the way to go with a MC suspension if you don't want to commit to the 6Paks. They are perfectly matched to MC coils.
