Well, I started making the changes to my 06 Rubi today. I decided to go with a 1.25" BL got that installed today. Funny thing is I needed to air down to get it out of the garage because of the PO has a 6" lift... currently still on it. I got the BL done and cursed thinking I had to take it off then my brain started working and said just air down.

The plan is to put Bilstein shocks and RK Coils on tomorrow, assuming coils show up tomorrow. Then the next step after I figure out if my Pinon angle is still good, will be the Currie steering upgrade. Then I'm done for a while...NO Really I am...famous last words right...

Then sometime in the next 3 weeks mount my beadlocks myself...I've decided to stick with MT MTZ's been very impressed with them. So gotta buy new rubber.

I know for a lot of you doing this stuff yourself is not a big deal... But it feels really good to be able to say, "I did it myself"! Just figure it out and do it.

FYI>>> I will be selling my MOTO METAL RIMS and MTZ's in the coming month. 35" 5x4.5 16" If you're interested let me know...

Well, my Beadlocks were a bit too flashy for me. So I decided to tame them down a bit. SERIOUSLY, considering doing the whole wheel.
Any thoughts?

I'm with g rocc. looks good how you have it.
x2:thumb: you must have a small garage. I have 5.5 lift 1.75 bl on 35's and I have about 1/2 inch clearance aired up.
You will like that currie steering upgrade. I also did the currie 1" MML to help the angle of the rear drive shaft.

Nothing better than the feeling of doing it yourself. Speaking as someone who before last weekend had never done anything more than an oil change and then went out and with some help installed a lift kit. Still working out some drive line vibration issues but either way everyday I look out at my jeep and see it I know that I did it!

I like the contrast. When does the rubber go on?
I think I'll wait and see how the finished product looks rather than making an impulsive decision. Rubber goes on in two weeks...well that's the plan, sooner if I find a better deal than I have lined up...

As far as the jack goes. I needed to have it mounted somewhere and since I still has stock rear bumper...hood mount it was. It's not in the way or anything, no rattling etc. I can't lay hood back because PO put some kind vent cover, so I have a chain I hook it to in garage or I use hood bracket. Not to much of a PITA...

Well, I got them mounted, not really hard but just time consuming. Definitely learned a lot doing it myself. Now I'm Really looking to get out...LOL
I like the contrast of the wheels and tires...;)
