Hi, I could use some advise from anyone that's ever dealt w the subject line rack.

I'm installing a Smittybilt Rock Crawler rack today and when I read through the instructions I was dismayed to see it apparently doesn't fit the factory rear bumper. Has anyone had to drill extra holes in the rack to make it fit?? Could you describe how that went for you??

Many thanks!

They come with two different mounting options. A frame mount and a body mount. You have to drill two holes per side as per the instructions for the body mounts. They use a backing plate inside the body. 3 years and maybe over 30 offroad trips with a roof top tent using the body mounts and no complaints about the mounts. Just make sure you paint the holes after you drill.

Any hints on lining up before drilling? .. is there a certain measurement from the bottom of the body?.. all it says is 'mount level with body'... doesn't help with my soft top on.
