Well... my wife asked me last night if I would go have some snow tires put on our jeep for winter driving since its now her daily driver. I drove it last winter on numerous times up in mountains with no real issues but she insists on snow tires any recommendations???

thanks

Goodyear Silent Armors are one of the best non dedicated/non studded tires for ice and snow. That's what I just had installed in place of the stock RSA's which are very mediocre. (the Silent Armors have the winter snowflake severe service rating)

Yeah, the M+S label is on almost every tire made. What you want to really look for is the mountain symbol with a snowflake in it. That signifies that the tire is rated for "severe snow use". General Grabber AT2 and Goodyear Duratrac are a couple of tires I've used with that rating. There are some others as well.

Check out the Cooper Discovery AT3.

They have excellent reviews in all kinds of weather and aren't loud. I just installed them on my JKU and love them. I have a friend who has them on a Chevy PU and he said they were excellent in the snow.
