Is the soft top supposed to sit flush on the frame for the front window?

Cause mine sits up a little bit.
If it is supposed to sit flush how can you make the 2 clips hold it down tighter. I'm thinking that might be yhr source of my leak?

Have you ever pulled your top off? I had air and a leak first day I had my jeep. I took top off, and kinda like straightened the whole cage out, from the back corner frame area, all the way to front, wind and leak went away.

Mine sits flush. Are you struggling to get it in the clips on top of the doors in rollcage? Mine has very slight tension now, where from dealer was impossible to disconnect.

Whoa, mine sits a little lower than that, not above like that at all. My weather stripping covers all that above your windshield

muddinjk,

I will try to get some pix up for you but I can't do it until later on this evening. Maybe in the meantime someone else can post some up.

When I was noodling your op I did think of the following which may be helpful in solving your problem:

1) What is the year / model of your Wrangler?

2) How long have you had it?

3) Who manufactured the soft top? OEM / Aftermarket?

4) Do you have and follow the manufacturer's instructions for installing and putting up the soft top?

5) What is the specific problem you are trying to fix? If it is a water leak or wind whistle, how about another pic with a piece of tape over the approximate area?

The reason for requesting clarification is that some wrangler model year soft tops fit a bit differently than others and the same holds true for soft tops from various manufacturer's. We should try to get some folks who have the same model year and top manufacturer on here to help you out.

Are you getting excessive wind noise in the cab driving down the street? The header in the soft top is plastic and comes from the factory that way. Over time is bows out causing a gap between the windshield and top. Chrysler sells a metal header replacement from your local dealer. Get that and it should fix your problem. IDK if Bestop makes one or not.

Its a 2007 jk sport 2 Dr. And there is alot of wind noise. And it seems that the leak is roughly where the door meets the front edge if the softtop. And its the standard soft top.

And this header do you have a product number for it. And it it hard to fit?
