Hey Guys - Not sure if I should post this here or under the electronic section but I was curious if anyone had experiences upgrading the stock TJ overhead sound wedges and not the sound bar.

My overhead speakers dont actually connect in the middle so it looks a bit different than all the upgraded soundbars I actually see. I'm assuming I can still get 6.5s in there OK but thought I'd throw it out here since everyone has been such a help so far.

I just put 6.5 inch speakers on my sound wedges on my 05. Was a very easy job.

On my sound bar the baskets and speakers fit fine. Had to drill new mounting holes. No matter what you got I think it will work. Worse case scenario use spacers so a narrow part of the basket is closer to the box but I don't think that will be necessary at all. Go for it. :)

Wow thats surprising, it seems like everyone here swears by the Polk DBs
Yep I'm not everyone. I do a lot of research before I spend my bucks. Not that I think polks are bad at all. My research led me to JBL lol was an edit.

Edit. I sat in my Jeep jamming out lol in the garage until the Blues game started at 2030. I'm an enthusiast. They sound great. I LOVE music. :)

Sounded awesome before amp. Ya it helped. But not much. Loved them before a little more after. Just can't turn it up half as loud with out going deaf after amp. :)

I preferred 5.25 4ohm speakers that could handle 100watts RMS. Polks and most other 5.25 speakers are too weak for that much power. At least at a reasonable cost. This is why I went with the CDT speaker models. They are great speakers with a good reputation, and great handling capability from 90-160 watts RMS, depending on the model.
