Hi there,

I'm looking to buy spacers for my husband's '99 (TJ?) Sahara edition which currently has a 3" lift and 33" tires. He doesn't have any spacers currently, so when he turns hard to the left or right there is some rubbing from the tires. Anywho, he wanted spacers for Xmas. I know the offset and such but I needed some suggestion for the size. I know he wants a little bit of "poke" out from the fenders...maybe an inch or two? With this being said, what size spacers would he need? Any advice/suggestions/photos would be much appreciated.

New rims would be my vote as I am not a fan of spacers.. But I think spider trax makes some of the nicer one's if ya have to get them.

I do not know how you can be running 33 inch tires on stock rims and not rip the inner side wall on the back tires by hitting the spring perch, unless you are running 10 inch wide tires. You really need no more than 4 inches of off set to fit 12.5 inch wide tires and most after market rims come 4 inches to 3.75 inches of offset. I do not advise wheel spacers but you would need at least 1.5 inch spacers to make stock rims fit and not rub assuming you are running 12.5 inch wide tires.

If he's running 10.5's then you only need to adjust the steering stops with a washer or two to stop the rubbing at full lock.

x2 on the spacers, new wheels would be a better option, IMO.
