I've seen where you can purchase adapters for $600 to bolt up your 4l60e transmission up to your Jeep transfer case.

I've also read that you can use the front half of the transfer case of a GM, and the back half of the Jeep.

Is this process cheaper if I have both transfer cases? I would like some details on how this is done. I can't seem to find any. What will I need? Etc.

Edit: it's a 97 wrangler with a 2.5 currently.
