Anybody know what the max wattage rating is for the factory alpine sub?
"Max" or "peak" wattages are never a number you want to work with...I would imagine the sub's RMS power handling is pretty close to what the stock amplifier puts out- 46 watts RMS x 12 (with 4 of those channels powering the sub at approximately 184 watts RMS).

Could you put more to it than that? For sure, depending on use, gain setting and self control with the volume knob. As wired in the factory 9 speaker premium system, the factory quad voice coil sub is a 2 ohm nominal load. I wouldn't put too much more power to it than that with intentions of cranking it up for extended periods if you want it to live a long time.
