Sup peeps. Ive searched and cant find the specs im looking for. I Know I can always count on you guys.

I drive a '14 JKU Rubi. Im wanting to buy 12.5 wide tires but keep the stock rims for now. I know my rim is 17" but what is the width? I cant find it anywhere.

Does anyone know the width? And while im at it, I guess backspacing would be good to know also. Has anyone done this before?

Thanks in advance!

^^^7.5" wide, with a 6.25 BS!!!!!!!!

That is a very wide tire for a 7.5" Rim. Definitely not the optimum.
But there are several on the Forum, that have done it.

You will need wheel spacers. A small lift would also be helpful for clearance.

Maybe some that have done it, will comment on it!

Thanks for the input. That sounds a little too small for comfort. Especially when I want to wheel

I have BFG KM2 35x12.5R17's on stock Rubicon wheels with 1.5" 'spacers' (actually, if they have wheel studs the proper term is 'adapters') under a 2.5" AEV lift with no issues at all.
Looks fantastic, rides on the road fantastic, 4 wheels fantastic..
