I was stationed in Japan when I met Sam and we became very good friends. Actually, he was my closest friend. It hurts to know he is gone. I would greatly appreciate any help from fellow Jeepers that are in the area. I'm driving from Virginia Monday to attend his funeral. If anyone sees a red Rubicon, it will most likely be me. Feel free to come and say hi, I would like to shake your hand and thank you for helping out.

When they threatened to protest the funeral of the Amish children who died in a fire awhile back the local PA boys setup roadblocks and the hunters ringed the property in the woods with hunting rifles. They were serious too. Police were pleading no violence but it wouldn't have mattered. The wackos protestors didn't show afterall. There are some areas of PA where the good ol boys would shoot them without hesitation then go back to eating dinner.

I protested against them in Joplin. Me and the freedom riders, only one made it into town because a few semi's "broke down" around their cars. Anywho he opened up his sign in front of all these bikers and a secret service agent (presidential motorcade was coming through) looks at him and goes "run you stupid motherfu**er!!!"
Yeah he didn't last long.
Ill protest them any day.
Oh and they will also be protesting at Arlington tomorrow morning.

These guys are horrible, went to a concert and they were protesting there calling little 8-15 year old girls sluts, and no dads around, so I went up to them and Said "say it again, call my little sister a slut, see what happens" they just moved on to yell at innocent little kids and their mothers.

Yes they are ridiculous, and awful people. Sadly they are in a big area of PA so no vigilante action lol. I really want to go, I have classes that morning at til 9:15 and at 11 however, and it is a 30 minute drive, so I could only be there from 9:45- 10:30 at the best and thats assume I was able to instantly show up at class. I might try emailing my professor and skipping class...

Ninja, first thank you for your service, so much. I am sure he was a great man. I am sorry that this is happening especially to your friend. We have around 40 students and growing on campus who are planning on going.

It was my honor to serve. Thank you for bringing awareness about...it makes me sick knowing I've put my life on the line to protect America's freedom, and this is how people use it. At least there are people like you out there trying to stop this, thanks.

Yesterday was the funeral for Sam. The church and family asked protesters against westboro not to come. Apparently the police were present and would be keeping them far away.

Actually, there was around 200 people or so that came out to support Sam and his family. Along with the police, we successfully deterred the Westboro cult from showing up.

What can I say other than we know where the Bodies can go and not even the dogs will find them. Lots of old mines in Pa..

I was there in counter protest, but they(westboro) did not show.
